This is one of my favorite pictures! Dylan loves both of his grandpas to death...but has always had a special relationship with Grandpa Yates! He stayed by Grandpas side throughout our whole visit to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Love you Dad...thanks for being you!

Yesterday we had lots of fun in the hot hot sun!! We went to Tremonton to the Box Elder County Fair and Rodeo. Katelin, Dylan, and Lexi had so much fun walking around looking at the animals. I think Alexis favorite were the bunnies!! She kept holding her hand out and made a kind of petting gesture to each bunny. It was so cute! She loved them. She was a little weirded out when the roosters started cock-a-doodle'ing though!!! It was the funniest thing to watch her. :)
Katelin LOVED the pony's and bunnies. She walked up to the gate the ponys were in and they would come over to her and let her pet them. I tried to do the same thing...they just walked away....EVERY time I tried to pet them!! How rude! Katelin really liked the white bunnies with pink eyes, I thought they looked kind of weird, but that's me! She thought they were so soft and small, and cuddly!
Dylan on the other hand liked the cows! They were so big and huge! I think his favorite were the black steers! He also liked the ponys as well..they were a big hit! He was able to pet them as well...what is my problem!? He thought the roosters and fluffy birds (don't know what they were) were weird!
The rodeo on the other hand...wasn't such a success! Alexis threw up a little bit before it started...I thought maybe she got too much sun. After the rodeo started...she pucked on me! NO FUN!!! At least I took a pair of pants to change into in case it got cold! We ended up leaving early because she kept throwing up and didn't feel good. Poor girl! It was a very long ride home from Tremonton! I was SO mad because I forgot my camera! So.... sorry...no pics of the fun event! :(

Well, it's the first day of 1st grade!! Katelin was so excited this morning, although she did not want to wake up early!!! Once I reminded her she got to wear her new school clothes, she was lots happier! Katelin ate hot lunch today...hope that went well...the silly mom that I am! I keep worrying about her...is she making new friends, does she like her teacher, is she having fun??!! For me, the clock is moving SO slow! Dylan misses her also! He told me at lunch time that we needed to go get her. I think he was afraid that I was forgetting all about her! (Like I could do that!)
Her desk is in the very back of the room...go figure with a last name ending with a "Z"!!! Hope she is having a fun day!! Love and miss you Katelin!!

Our Visit to the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple

We visited the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on June 13, 2009. It was so amazing...the kids were in awe (as were we)! Very very beautiful...Katelin's favorite was the "bridal room"! She said, "I had a warm feeling"! We were able to go with my family (parents, siblings/spouses, kids) and it was such a neat experience! Thankful we took the opportunity as a family!

Celebrating Alexis & Katelin's Birthday

We had lots of fun eating cake and ice cream! We love spending time with the family...we really enjoy it when we can all get together. Alexis got her own little personal cake to devour...and devour she did! She had so much fun...yum yum!! Katelin's birthday isn't until Tuesday the 21st...but we celebrated it early with the family! She is so stinking excited to finally be 6! Yay!! She got a new "bigger" bike and lots of new clothes to wear to 1st grade...as if kindergarten was hard enough for mom! (I'm still not sure I'm ready for her to be gone the WHOLE day!) What spoiled rotten girls!! We love em to pieces!

Anyway, She is so happy, but very, very active!! She is getting the hang of walking and thinks it's pretty cool..watch out Katelin and Dylan - Here I come!
